Luis Castillo Fans Seven In Third Rehab Start
3 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo (shoulder) looked great in his third minor league rehab start for Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday, striking out seven hitters while allowing three hits and two walks in 4 1/3 scoreless innings. The right-hander threw 48 of his 76 pitches for strikes in the outing, and he's likely to come off the injured list and make his next start for the Reds in his season debut in the majors. If that's indeed the case, Castillo will be lined up to start at home against the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday. The 29-year-old should be scooped up immediately if he's somehow on your league's waiver wire, but using him immediately in starting lineups against the first-place Brewers would be a risky move.
