3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Gerrit Cole pitched well in Sunday's Game 1 2-1 win over the Rangers. Cole took a no-decision, pitching 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball on five hits (including a solo home run), a walk, and 10 strikeouts. The 31-year-old has started to look like his old self again and is now 2-0 with a 2.67 ERA, 37 strikeouts, and 11 walks over six starts and 30 1/3 IP. His strikeout numbers are still a little lower than they have been the past couple of seasons and his walk numbers are a bit higher, but fantasy managers should feel comfortable with how he has pitched lately. His next start will likely be a decent matchup against the White Sox on the road.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
