Andrew Heaney Still A Ways From Returning
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Andrew Heaney (shoulder) was scheduled to play catch over the weekend in Chicago, but the left-hander is still a ways away from returning from the injured list. Once he's cleared to pitch, he'll have to make several minor league rehab starts before rejoining the Dodgers starting rotation. Los Angeles initially said they'd be conservative with the 30-year-old, so this shouldn't come as a huge surprise to fantasy managers. Fellow lefty Tyler Anderson should remain in LA's rotation until Heaney is able to return, which may not be until next month at this point. Heaney allowed one unearned run while walking three and striking out 16 in his first two starts over 10 1/3 innings before his shoulder injury.
