3 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Luke Voit (biceps) will stay at Triple-A El Paso for the time being in an attempt to get his bat going. Voit has struggled in Triple-A, striking out in nine straight at-bats at one point as he attempts to work his way back to the big league club after injuring his biceps back on April 23. The veteran spent some time with the big-league staff on Monday and they apparently decided that he needs some more time to fine-tune his swing. There was originally some talk that Voit would be activated from the injured list on Friday but that is looking less likely after Monday's news.--Matt T - RotoBaller
