3 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (finger) is expected to go on the injured list on Tuesday. He hasn't had any setbacks and his finger isn't worse, but his recovery is taking a little longer than he originally hoped, and he likely needs three to four more days to rest. The Twins initially thought that Correa broke his right middle finger, but tests showed only bruising. The 27-year-old will be out for a fourth straight game on Tuesday, and the Twins need a healthy body on the roster. Royce Lewis will continue to serve as the team's everyday shortstop until Correa is eligible to return from the injured list.
