Wilmer Flores Scratched Tuesday Night
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Wilmer Flores (back) was scratched from the starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Colorado Rockies due to lower back tightness. Mauricio Dubon got the start at the hot corner instead and hit seventh in the batting order against Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela. Until we know more about Flores' condition, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. The 30-year-old veteran infielder has been seeing more playing time at third base with Evan Longoria (finger) on the injured list, but Longoria is expected to return from shelf in a few days. Flores has been useful in deep mixed and NL-only leagues, as he's hitting .270 with three home runs, 19 RBI and 15 runs scored in 27 games, but his playing time will likely be on the decline soon.
