KJ Hamler Wants To Play Special Role For Russell Wilson
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler wants to play the "Tyler Lockett role" for new quarterback Russell Wilson this year. Hamler played in only three games before tearing his left ACL last year, but he's ahead of schedule in his recovery and has already been running routes and catches passes from Wilson. The second-rounder in 2020 expects to be ready before the regular season, but it remains to be seen if there will be enough targets to go around for Hamler to be fantasy relevant on a weekly basis. The 22-year-old will also be competing with Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick for looks from Wilson. There's a chance that Hamler develops some chemistry with Wilson as a deep threat, but it's unlikely to result in consistent production for fantasy managers.
