3 years agoThe New England Patriots claimed tight end Matt Sokol off waivers from the Detroit Lions on Wednesday. Sokol signed a reserve/futures contract with Detroit in January after spending last season on the practice squads of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Chargers. The 26-year-old from Michigan State has played in only two NFL games (back in 2020 with the Chargers), but he didn't see a single target and played only 15 total offensive snaps. There's a good chance Sokol winds up on New England's practice squad this year or back on the open market at some point.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
