James McCann Out With Sore Wrist
3 years agoNew York Mets catcher James McCann (wrist) is dealing with a sore left wrist, which is why he's not in the lineup on Thursday against the Washington Nationals. According to manager Buck Showalter, McCann's injury is "manageable," and he should be back in the lineup on Friday. It's the second straight day that the 31-year-old has been on the bench. With McCann out again, Tomas Nido will do the catching and is hitting ninth on Thursday against Nationals right-hander Joan Adon. McCann is off to a rough start in his second year with the Mets, hitting just .196 with one home run, six RBI, five runs scored and one stolen base in his first 21 games. You can find better DFS catching options than Nido on Thursday.
