Eduardo Escobar Not Playing Thursday
3 years agoNew York Mets third baseman Eduardo Escobar is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Washington Nationals. Escobar could use a day of rest, as he has just one extra-base hit and is batting .205 in his first nine games in the month of May to drop his season slash line to .216/.326/.342 with one home run and seven RBI in 30 games played. Fantasy managers may want to keep the 33-year-old on their benches until he shows some signs of life at the plate. Luis Guillorme will get the start at the hot corner and will hit eighth on Thursday against Nationals right-hander Joan Adon. Guillorme has only three career home runs in 197 games played in five major league seasons, so DFS gamers should be able to find better options at third base.
