Andrew Vaughn Not Expected To Be Activated Thursday
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Vaughn (hand) is not expected to be activated from the injured list on Thursday in time for the game against the New York Yankees on the first day that he's eligible to return. Vaughn has been sidelined since May 2 due to a bruised hand, but he will get a few more minor league rehab at-bats with Triple-A Charlotte before rejoining the team this weekend. The 24-year-old right-handed hitter will return to being an everyday outfielder for the White Sox when he's eventually activated. Vaughn was slashing .283/.367/.566 with a .933 OPS, four home runs, 12 RBI and five runs scored in 16 games before landing on the injured list. If he's somehow available on your league's waiver wire, scoop him up now.
