2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (pelvis) has been placed on the 15-day injured list with inflammation in his right SI joint, the team reports. Left-hander Garrett Cleavinger has been recalled in a corresponding move. Kershaw was off to a fantastic start in 2022, pitching to a 4-0 record, 1.80 ERA and 0.73 WHIP with 32 strikeouts over 30 innings. This is just one of many times the former MVP has been sidelined in his career, and he hasn't pitched more than 178 1/3 innings since 2015. The good news is that Kershaw could have a minimal stay on the IL, but they'll be cautious not to bring him back too soon.
