George Springer Sprains Ankle Friday
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer left Friday's game with a sprained ankle. Springer injured his ankle after falling awkwardly into the outfield wall at Tropicana Field after misplaying a triple off the bat of Brandon Lowe. He initially stayed in the game but left after a groundout in the third inning, ultimately going 0-for-2 before being replaced in center field by Raimel Tapia. There's no word yet on the severity of the injury but look for Toronto to update his status after the game on Friday night.
