3 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out eight during Saturday's 5-4 win over the Seattle Mariners. He did not factor into the decision. The 33-year-old escaped a first-inning jam and threw five scoreless frames until surrendering a run in the sixth inning. He threw 108 pitches, landing 68 for strikes. Bassitt has been terrific in his first season with the Mets, posting a 2.34 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 46:12 K: BB across 42 1/3 innings. On Thursday, the right-hander for his next start is scheduled to face the St. Louis Cardinals at home.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
