3 years agoIndianapolis Colts second-round wide receiver Alec Pierce was a featured target in the red zone during team drills at rookie camp over the weekend, and he made two eye-opening touchdown catches that showed his ability to use his long frame to his advantage. "It becomes basketball down there," Pierce said of the red zone. "You have to go up and high-point the ball, rebound the ball." The 6-foot-3 rookie pass-catcher could excel deep down the field with veteran quarterback Matt Ryan and in the end zone, but he'll probably be hard to trust on a week-to-week basis in the Colts run-first offense.
