Carlos Correa Could Be Back This Week
3 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (finger) did some swinging and throwing and took some light ground-ball drills before the team's game on Saturday against the Cleveland Guardians, and manager Rocco Baldelli said they are hoping that he returns from the injured list this week. "He's going to get a lot of swings in the cage, and getting more and more reps as opposed to just taking a few swings and saying, 'Hey, that feels all right,'" Baldelli said. Correa landed on the IL with a right middle finger contusion, but he could be activated as early as Monday, when he's eligible to return. The 27-year-old has hit .255 with two home runs, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored in his first 24 games with the Twins, and his fantasy managers are hoping he's back sooner than later this week.
