Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Continues Slide
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has struggled to get things going in the month of May, slashing .130/.184/.174 with no home runs, one run scored, two RBI, and one steal. He now has a .618 OPS with two homers and two steals in 126 at-bats this season. This level of performance makes it very hard to justify keeping Gurriel around, but with a .265 BABIP, things should level out to a certain extent, especially in a potent Toronto lineup though maybe not enough to warrant a role in categories leagues where his lack of upside in the power or speed departments is more of a hit to his value.
