3 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant (back) went 1-for-3 with a single in his first minor league rehab start on Tuesday with Triple-A Albuquerque. Bryant played left field and is scheduled to start again for Albuquerque on Wednesday. If all goes well, he will return to Denver and be in uniform for the start of a weekend series against the New York Mets on Friday. In 15 games before landing on the injured list with a back strain on April 29, Bryant was hitting .281/.338/.351 with no home runs, four RBI and 11 runs scored in 65 plate appearances. Fantasy managers will be hoping that the 30-year-old slugger can rediscover his power stroke upon his return to the Rockies lineup this weekend.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
