Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Removed From Wednesday's Game Early
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (hamstring) was removed from Wednesday's game against the Seattle Mariners with left hamstring tightness. He went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before leaving. The severity of his hamstring is unknown at this time, and Gurriel is considered day-to-day. Raimel Tapia replaced him in the sixth inning. Tapia, along with Bradley Zimmer, would see an uptick in playing time if Gurriel were to miss extended time. Gurriel was hitting .227 with two home runs, 12 RBI, and two stolen bases in 2022. Stay tuned for further updates.
