3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Joey Gallo is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles and left-hander Bruce Zimmermann. Gallo is off to a slow start at the plate in his second season with the Yanks, hitting .176/.288/.333 with five home runs, seven RBI, 11 runs scored and 45 strikeouts in 118 plate appearances. As always, he has elite power, but he swings and misses far too often. Marwin Gonzalez will draw into the lineup in left field and hit ninth on Thursday against Zimmermann. The switch-hitter has gone 6-for-27 in his first 16 games with no home runs and three RBI, making him a low-upside, low-cost DFS play in the nine-hole for the Yanks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
