3 years agoOakland Athletics pitcher Frankie Montas (hand) exited Saturday's start against the Los Angeles Angels early after taking a comebacker off his right hand. He was hit in the right hand by a comebacker and ultimately pulled from the game. The 29-year-old allowed one hit while striking out two over 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Montas will undergo further evaluation and is day-to-day. The team should provide an update after the game. Domingo Acevedo replaced him on the mound in the second inning, and Oakland will rely on its bullpen for the rest of Saturday's contest. Stay tuned.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
