Bobby Witt Jr. Not Playing Against Twins
3 years agoKansas City Royals rookie third baseman Bobby Witt Jr. is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Minnesota Twins. It's only the second day off of the season for the young infielder. The 21-year-old had extremely high expectations heading into his first MLB season after tearing the cover off the ball in spring training, and although he does have four home runs and six stolen bases, he's hitting only .215/.260/.389 with 16 RBI and 18 runs scored through his first 38 big-league games. Fantasy managers must have patience with the youngster. Emmanuel Rivera is getting the start at the hot corner and is batting fifth on Sunday against Twins right-hander Bailey Ober. Rivera is 12-for-47 with three homers and nine RBI in 18 games for KC.
