Baker Mayfield Won't Attend OTAs
3 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) won't attend voluntary organized team activities on Tuesday, as expected. Mayfield, who had offseason left shoulder surgery, will continue to stay away from the team as they attempt to trade him after acquiring Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans. Even if Cleveland hadn't acquired Watson, Mayfield likely would've been unavailable for OTAs while he recovered from shoulder surgery. Most people think either the Carolina Panthers or Seattle Seahawks will wind up trading for the former first-rounder, but the Browns are going to need to eat most of Mayfield's $18.86 million salary in order to facilitate a trade. Even if the 27-year-old winds up starting for Carolina or Seattle this year, he'll go undrafted in most standard-sized fantasy leagues.
