3 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-hander Shane Baz (elbow) made his second minor league rehab start for Triple-A Durham on Wednesday and tossed 2 1/3 shutout innings while giving up two hits, walking two and striking out one. The 22-year-old prospect missed the first six weeks of the season after having arthroscopic elbow surgery, but he's getting closer to a return to the Rays rotation. Tampa will want to see Baz get stretched out a little more before having him make his season debut at some point in June, but fantasy managers in deeper leagues should be stashing him now if he's available on the waiver wire. He allowed three earned runs while walking three and striking out 18 in his first 13 1/3 major league innings in 2021 in three starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
