3 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki (hand) was replaced by outfielder Rafael Ortega in right field in the bottom of the fourth inning on Thursday against the Cincinnati Reds after he was checked by manager David Ross and a trainer after stealing second base in the third inning. It looked as though Suzuki was getting his left hand looked at. With the Reds up big in the game, the Cubs might be playing it safe with the 27-year-old Japanese outfielder, who entered the day hitting .241/.342/.431 with four home runs, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored and two stolen bases in his first 40 major league games. We'll have an update on Suzuki when we know more about the severity of his hand injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
