3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (shoulder) threw 25 pitches to live hitters on Thursday and used his whole mix of pitches. Manager Oliver Marmol said the session went well. The Cardinals will have Flaherty repeat this step a couple times before sending him out on a minor league rehab assignment. The 26-year-old right-hander was moved to the 60-day injured list last week, so he won't be eligible to be activated until early June. Flaherty has yet to pitch in 2022, but he should be stashed in most fantasy formats after going 9-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 1.06 WHIP while walking 26 and striking out 85 in 78 1/3 innings over his 17 appearances (15 starts) last season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
