3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Zack Britton (elbow) is with the team in Tampa and is scheduled to throw a bullpen session next Tuesday, according to manager Aaron Boone. The Yankees believe that the left-hander will be an option out of their bullpen at some point this year. The 34-year-old veteran reliever has been throwing from 120 feet after starting his throwing program in February. Britton isn't close to a rehab assignment at this point and the Yankees won't rush him, but he could be back for the Bombers at some point in August or September. He's thrown only 37 1/3 innings for the Yanks in the last two years with nine saves, a 3.86 ERA, 21 walks and 32 strikeouts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
