3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (hamstring), who was scratched from the starting lineup on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Rays with right hamstring tightness, said he feels like he'll return to the lineup on Friday against the Rays and left-hander Jeffrey Springs. "That's what I'm planning on," Hicks said. With Hicks sidelined Thursday, infielder Matt Carpenter got the start as the designated hitter in his first game with the team. Hicks hasn't made much of an impact with the lumber in his first 39 games for the Bombers, hitting .209/.338/.243 with one home run, seven RBI, 14 runs scored and five stolen bases in 140 plate appearances.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
