Spencer Torkelson Not Starting Friday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Cleveland Guardians. Torkelson has swung a better bat of late, but he's still hitting just .179/.292/.309 with four home runs, 11 RBI and nine runs scored in his first 40 major league games in his rookie season. The former Arizona State product has plenty of power, but he needs to make more contact to do consistent damage for fantasy managers. Harold Castro is at first base and is batting fifth on Friday against Guardians right-hander Shane Bieber. Castro is sporting a .301 batting average with three home runs, eight RBI and 10 runs scored in 76 plate appearances over 25 games for Detroit.
