Travis Jankowski Has Surgery On Fractured Hand
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Travis Jankowski (hand) had surgery on Friday to fix a metacarpal fracture on his left hand. The Mets placed him on the 10-day injured list, and he's expected to miss six to eight weeks. In corresponding moves, the team recalled right-handed pitchers Stephen Nogosek and Yoan Lopez from the minors. Jankowski had been serving as a bench outfielder for the Mets and therefore wasn't of much use to fantasy managers. He had been hitting .209 (9-for-43) with no home runs, two RBI, 11 runs scored and three stolen bases in 33 games played.
