Riley Greene Goes Hitless In First Rehab Game
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfield prospect Riley Greene (foot) went 0-for-3 in his first minor league rehab game with Single-A Lakeland on Friday. Greene fractured his right foot at the end of spring training and is just now getting back to game action. The No. 2 overall prospect in all of baseball, per MLB Pipeline, is expected to eventually claim the Tigers starting center field job this year, so fantasy managers need to know his name. The 21-year-old was in line to make the Opening Day roster before his injury, and his combination of power and speed should make him relevant in all fantasy formats before long. Greene will probably need a lengthy rehab assignment before the Tigers feel comfortable letting him make his major league debut.
