3 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles designated outfield prospect Jahmai Jones (elbow) for assignment on Saturday and selected the contract of right-hander Cody Sedlock from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. The team also optioned right-hander Beau Sulser to Norfolk and added right-hander Denyi Reyes to serve as the 27th man for their Saturday doubleheader. Jones, the team's No. 22 prospect per MLB Pipeline, had Tommy John surgery on Friday and will miss the rest of the 2022 season. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, he'll remain in the Orioles organization. The 24-year-old was hitting .212/.339/.343 with two home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases in 27 games for Norfolk this year before undergoing surgery.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
