3 years agoThe Kansas City Royals activated catcher Salvador Perez (thumb) from the injured list on Saturday and optioned catcher Sebastian Rivero to the minors in a corresponding move. Perez is back behind the plate and is batting cleanup on Saturday against Minnesota Twins right-hander Chris Archer. The seven-time All-Star backstop is hitting just .206 (28-for-136) in 34 games this year, but he has six home runs and 16 RBI and remains one of the best power-hitting catchers in fantasy. Get him back into your lineups immediately in season-long leagues. Perez initially landed on the injured list with a sprained left thumb.
