Brewers Calling Up Ethan Small
2 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers are calling up left-hander Ethan Small from the minors, according to sources. The 25-year-old had a 1.88 ERA at Triple-A Nashville this year and has a 1.78 ERA and 177 strikeouts in 136 2/3 innings in the minors since being drafted in 2019. Small could fill a very important role in Milwaukee's starting rotation this year given Freddy Peralta's lat injury. MLB Pipeline has Small listed as the team's No. 7 prospect, and the southpaw should make his major league debut in one half of the team's doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs on Monday. Small had a 1.88 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 49:21 K:BB in 38 1/3 innings in his last eight starts at Nashville, and he deserves fantasy attention in all leagues if he sticks in Milwaukee's rotation.
