2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (shoulder) told reporters on Saturday that he feels "completely normal" and that the stress reaction in his right scapula isn't bothering him. The Mets ace has been throwing from 135 feet during his rehab but has yet to throw off a mound. The next step for deGrom, barring any setbacks, would be a bullpen session followed by some rehab assignments at the minor-league level. While the team hasn't provided an exact timetable for his return, this encouraging piece of news would indicate that he is getting close. A return to action in late June or early July seems probable at this point. The two-time Cy Young award winner has not pitched in a major league game since July 7, 2021.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
