2 years agoNew York Mets infielder Jeff McNeil (leg) is back in the starting lineup as the designated hitter and is batting fifth on Monday against Washington Nationals right-hander Erick Fedde. Meanwhile, outfielder Brandon Nimmo (wrist) will miss his third straight game. McNeil had some wear and tear with his legs and didn't play on Sunday, but he'll be back in there to begin a series with the Nats. The 30-year-old doesn't have a ton of power but is hitting .317 with a .372 on-base percentage and two stolen bases in 164 at-bats. Mark Canha is playing center field and batting seventh, while Nick Plummer gets the nod in left field while hitting eight against Fedde. Nimmo, who is hitting .293/.386/.452 with three homers and 17 RBI, should be considered day-to-day.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
