Kyle Lewis Could Go On Concussion Injured List
2 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis (head, neck) is dealing with concussion-like effects after taking a ball to the shoulder and then the head/neck area over the weekend, and the Mariners may place him on the concussion injured list. Lewis is unlikely to pinch hit on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles. The 26-year-old will have to pass the league's concussion protocol in order to avoid a seven-day trip to the injured list. Lewis got a late start to the 2022 season due to injury, and he's gone 4-for-15 with two home runs, three RBI and three runs scored in his first four games of the year. He's been the team's designated hitter in all four games he's played. Jesse Winker is serving as the DH and is hitting leadoff on Tuesday against Orioles right-hander Bryan Baker.
