Widely considered to be a freakish athlete but raw on talent, The Packers Wire reporter Zack Kruse hinted that Watson was not necessarily a selection to help capitalize on quarterback Aaron Rodgers' championship window. "The Packers didn't draft Christian Watson because they thought he was the best WR for 2022. They drafted him because he is an awesome fit with LaFleur with huge upside. The Aaron Rodgers window matters but also not really. Draft is for long-term team building," said Kruse. Fantasy managers have plenty of reasons to agree with this take considering Watson's small school background with North Dakota State's extremely run-heavy scheme. For anyone not buying into Watson's hype, wide receiver Allen Lazard should make for a screaming value at his ADP sitting around the WR51.--Dessy John
