2 years agoThe Miami Marlins recalled right-hander Edward Cabrera from the minors on Wednesday, and he will start in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies. Cabrera will be making his eighth major league start and first this season after going 0-3 with a 5.81 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, 28 strikeouts and 19 walks in 26 1/3 innings in his major league debut in 2021. There's a chance the 24-year-old could stick in the Marlins rotation if he fares well, so those in deeper leagues should pay attention. The team's No. 4 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, had allowed 12 earned runs on 20 hits while striking out 32 and walking 12 in 23 2/3 frames over five starts for Triple-A Jacksonville before his call-up.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
