Travis Etienne Jr. Wants To Be Deebo-Like Weapon
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, who missed all of his rookie season with a Lisfranc injury, pretty much only caught passes in the team's two-hour practice at organized team activities on Tuesday. "Football is all about matchups so I mean if I could be like Deebo Samuel, I would love that. Honestly, the game is a game of productivity. If you can produce, the team is always going to have a need for you. It's just trying to be the best player I can be so I can be on the field at all times," Etienne said. The 23-year-old was more productive as a pass-catcher at Clemson, and he could be the team's leading RB to open the season if James Robinson (Achilles) isn't ready to go. Etienne said he still has some mental hurdles to clear in regards to his foot, but he should have a high floor in PPR leagues in 2022.
