2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers defensive end Stephon Tuitt, who is only 29 years old, announced on Wednesday that he is retiring. Tuitt missed all of last season due to personal reasons after his brother was killed by a car during organized team activities last year. He played in only six games in 2019 due to injury, but when he was on the field, he was highly productive for the Steelers. Tuitt racked up 45 tackles (33 solo), 10 tackles for loss, 25 QB hits, a career-high 11 sacks, three passes defensed and two forced fumbles in 15 starts in his final season in 2020. He was originally a second-round pick in 2014 out of Notre Dame, and he'll finish his career with 246 tackles (176 solo), 48 tackles for loss, 94 QB hits, 34.5 sacks, one interception, 13 passes defensed and six forced fumbles in 91 games (79 starts) in seven NFL seasons, all with Pittsburgh.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
