Corey Seager Sitting Versus Rays
2 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager is taking the day off on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Rays. It will be his first day off since April 17. In his first year in Texas, Seager is hitting .236/.303/.435 with 11 home runs, 24 RBI, 25 runs scored and two stolen bases in 211 plate appearances over 48 games played. However, in the last 14 days, he's gone 12-for-56 (.214) with three home runs, six RBI and two stolen bases. The average hasn't been there for Seager's fantasy managers, but you can't really complain otherwise. Marcus Semien will play shortstop and bat second on Thursday, while Charlie Culberson will handle the keystone and bat ninth against Rays right-hander Corey Kluber.
