Clayton Kershaw, Andrew Heaney Starting Rehab Assignments
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (pelvis) will make his first minor league rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday, and he could rejoin the Dodgers after that if all goes well. Meanwhile, left-hander Andrew Heaney (shoulder) will start a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City this weekend. Kershaw threw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday and has made good progress of late. Fantasy managers can't wait to get Kershaw back into their lineups, as he was performing at his usual Cy Young level before going on the injured list. Heaney hasn't pitched since mid-April due to left shoulder pain, so his rehab assignment figures to require multiple outings.
