3 years agoEntering the Milwaukee Brewers weekend series with the San Diego Padres, reliever Devin Williams has gone nine consecutive appearances without giving up a run while allowing four hits, two walks and striking out 16 batters. Williams' numbers are impressive in 2022 -- he ranks in the 99th percentile in whiff rate, the 99th percentile in strikeout rate and the 75th percentile in chase rate. Williams is striking out 40.2% of batters that he faces in 2022 while allowing just an average exit velocity of 82.8 mph. For leagues with deeper rosters, Williams is a worthy addition as a free agent. With closer Josh Hader around, Williams' value decreases without consistent save opportunities.--JasonHirsch
