2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox activated right-handers Dylan Cease and Kendall Graveman from the restricted list on Friday and placed right-hander Vince Velasquez (groin) on the 15-day injured list with a left groin strain in a corresponding move. The team also recalled right-hander Davis Martin from Triple-A Charlotte and sent right-handers Kyle Crick and Jimmy Lambert to Charlotte. Martin will start Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Cease was unavailable for the team's road trip to Toronto because he's unvaccinated, but he'll return for the weekend series against the Rays and is scheduled to start on Saturday. The 26-year-old right-hander has been solid this year with a 3.69 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 76 strikeouts and 23 walks in 53 2/3 innings over 10 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
