Elieser Hernandez Optioned To Triple-A
2 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Elieser Hernandez was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday, according to Craig Mish. The 27-year-old has had a rough go this season, posting a 2-5 record, 6.75 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 47:15 K/BB ratio over 48 innings (11 appearances, nine starts). He posted just one quality start and served up a whopping 18 home runs over his 11 appearances. Left-hander Braxton Garrett will take Hernandez's spot in the rotation and start tomorrow vs. the San Francisco Giants.
