2 years agoTampa Bay Rays reliever J.P. Feyereisen (shoulder) received an MRI on Saturday, which revealed a bone bruise in his injured right shoulder. The 29-year-old righty was placed on the 15-day injured list on Friday and has apparently been dealing with shoulder pain over the last several weeks. Rays manager Kevin Cash told reporters that a bone bruise is an encouraging sign, considering how tricky shoulder issues can be for pitchers. He still has no timetable for his return as of now. Feyereisen has been excellent out of the Rays bullpen this year, posting a sparkling 4-0 record, 0.00 ERA, 0.49 WHIP and 25:5 K:BB to go along with seven holds and one save.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
