2 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (groin) has started to run during his rehab work as he continues to recover from a strained groin, which he suffered on May 30. Beat writer Daryl Van Schouwen said that Anderson "ran at least one sprint of about 120 feet in the outfield just now, not at top speed but maybe 75-80 percent" prior to Sunday's contest against Tampa Bay. Van Schouwen also noted that while the sprint was encouraging, Anderson's lateral movement will be the key to his recovery. There is still no exact timetable for the star shortstop's return but he could be back later on in June, barring any setbacks.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
