2 years agoFormer Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Cole Tucker has been claimed by the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 25-year-old Tucker, who is a former first-round pick, was designated for assignment by the Pirates back on May 30. He's had a rough career at the major-league level, posting a subpar .211/.259/.314 triple-slash line to go along with five home runs, 35 RBI, and 129 strikeouts over 436 at-bats. He's still young enough to turn things around so perhaps the Diamondbacks see potential in him. Tucker is an Arizona native.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
