Clayton Kershaw Goes Four Innings In Rehab Start
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (pelvis) threw 59 pitches over four innings in his minor league rehab start on Sunday for Low-A Rancho Cucamonga, striking out seven and allowing one run on a solo home run. Kershaw has been out for three weeks with inflammation in his right SI joint, but manager Dave Roberts is "hopeful" that Kershaw won't need a second rehab start after his outing on Sunday. The earliest he could return to the Dodgers starting rotation would be this Sunday against the division-rival San Francisco Giants. In five starts for LA before his injury, the veteran left-hander had a sparkling 1.80 ERA and 2.56 xERA with 32 strikeouts and only three walks in 30 innings.
